This past week I wore a variety of shades of pink just about every day. Although pink happens to be my favorite color, I don’t get a chance to wear the color as often as I would like. I honestly don’t have a lot of clothes featuring the color pink in my closet. Usually I buy pink accessories such as coffee mugs, earrings, lipstick, phone case, etc. you get the gist.
The Met Gala this year was everything. The theme was Camp: “Notes on Fashion”. Of course the celebrities showed up and showed out, this is one of the only red carpet events during the year where the celebrities are really allowed to bring out their extreme fashion looks. The film festival was filled with lots of West African natives mostly from Ghana and Nigeria. It took place in the late evening around 6:30 PM on October 24 at The Shrine of the Black Madonna, a community center in 3rd ward. The setting featured lots of culture, food, art, and great people coming together to watch a documentary and discuss the making, creation, and history of West African garments.
